Creation of a Canton
or a College within a Barony
Herald: Now let all those subjects of the Crown resident in the lands of ___________________ come before Their Majesties that their petition might be heard.
The people of the [Canton/College] come forward and kneel, leaving and aisle.
King: Some months past, the good people of _____________________ came before Us and asked Us to elevate their station and confirm them as a [Canton/College] of Our Realm. This request was well made, and because of it, and the numerous examples of the good works of Our subjects of _____________________, it has found favor in Our sight. Herald, summon before us the Baron and Baroness of ____________________________.
Herald: Their Majesties summon before them

Their Excellencies come forward and kneel before Their Majesties.
King: Your Excellencies, will you now stand as bond in fealty that this incipient [Canton/College] of ______________________ might receive Our recognition and protection as a [Canton/College] of your Barony?
Baron and Baroness: We will.
King: Call forth Our Seneschal, and the Seneschal of the Barony.
Herald: Now let ____________________, Seneschal of the Kingdom of the Outlands, and ________________, the Seneschal of the Barony of _____________________, come before Their Majesties.
The Seneschals come forward.
King: Speaking to the Kingdom Seneschal.
My [Lord/Lady] Seneschal, We charged you to examine the petition of the people of the incipient [College/Canton] of __________________, to determine if all is in order. Has this been done?
Kingdom Seneschal: It has, Your Majesty, and all has been found to be in good order.
King: Speaking to Baronial Seneschal.
And will you, ___________________________, Seneschal of Our fair Barony of _______________________, now affirm that the people of ______________________ have taken all steps necessary to become a [Canton/College] in this Barony?
Baronial Seneschal: They have, Your Majesty.
If there are to be Peerage Spokesmen:
Herald: Now let the representatives of the Peers of the Realm, come before Their Majesties.
King: Noble Peers, will you now attest to the worthiness of the people of ____________________ to become a [Canton/College] in Our Realm?
Chivalry: Replies in their own fashion, or says:
Your Majesties, I, _______________________, speaking on behalf of the Order of Chivalry, am able to affirm that the people of _________________ have supported Your Majesties' armies through the mustering of fighters [water bearers, etc.] and through the teaching of the fighting arts.
Laurel: Replies in their own fashion, or says:
Your Majesties, I, __________________________, speaking on behalf of the Order of the Laurel,
am able to affirm that the people of _______________________ have supported the Arts and Sciences through teaching, and through their divers works.
Pelican: Replies in their own fashion, or says:
Your Majesties, I, __________________________, speaking on behalf of the Order of the Pelican, am able to affirm that the people of _________________________ have given of their time and labors in support of their own group and of Your Majesties' Realm.
Royal Peer: Replies in their own fashion, or says:
Your Majesties, I, __________________________, speaking on behalf of the Royal Peers, am able to affirm that the people of ______________________________ are loyal subjects and supporters of Your Crown, and as such would make a worthy addition as a [Canton/College] of Your Realm.
King: Good subjects of ________________________, We have taken counsel of Our advisors, Our Baron and Baroness of _______________, and of Our Seneschal, and have carefully debated the merits of your request.
Here His Majesty tells the group how pleased He is with them in his own words.
King: As you have faithful served Us, for the good of the realm, and in accordance with your standing as Our subjects, so are We resolved to grant your petition.
Good ________________________, Our faithful Seneschal, Now are We firm in resolve; Let the name of _________________ be entered as a [Canton/College] in the Book of Our Realm.
So say We, ____________________ and ___________________, King and Queen of the Outlands.
Seneschal: It shall be done, Your Majesty.
Herald: You have Their Majesties' leave to depart.
The Baron and Baroness rise, bow, and retire, followed by the Kingdom Seneschal, and then the populace of the new group. As they are leaving:
