Ceremonies for offering

Peerage

Version One

Herald:  Now let ____________________________ come before Their Royal Majesties.

King:  ________________________, We are well pleased.....

Here the Crown make whatever remarks they feel are appropriate to the candidate, speaking of their qualities and why they are thought highly of.

They may wish to include in their remarks the fact that they are offering admittance to the order, or they may wish to wait and let the candidate figure it out when the herald reads these next lines:

Herald:  Now let all know that ________________ and _____________________, King and Queen of the Outlands do this day offer to the noble _______________________, admission to the Order of ________________________, in recognition of [his/her] good works.  They charge [him/her] to go forth and deeply consider this matter, and to deliver [his/her] answer when [he/she] is next called before Them.

The herald may or may not lead the populace in cheers for the candidate, at the discretion of the Crown.
